Welcome to Old Road West Surgery

FLU SEASON IS BACK!

Our annual walk-in flu clinic is being held on Saturday 5th and 12th October between 9-12pm. All eligible patients can come to have their vaccinations.  Please come and have your flu vaccine as early as possible to be protected throughout Winter. If you miss these clinics, we will continue to have appointments throughout the week with the nurses.

We have changed our appointments booking system to 08:30 for same day appointments. We still have a combination of advanced telephone queries (2weeks) plus face to face appointments. Your appointment may be with different clinicians depends on the nature of the query. We ask that you email (see below) the prescription clerks for any repeat medications.

For clinical safety we kindly ask that patients try and stick to the “one problem per consultation” policy.

Prescribing in primary care is changing: NHS Kent and Medway spends more than £11 million each year on over the counter medications. These are available from local pharmacy or supermarkets. Please understand why the practice may decline your request. https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/medicines/why-cant-i-get-prescription-over-counter-medicine/

We ask that patients to be respectful to the staff who are working at the surgery. We have always been open throughout the pandemic and continue to provide the best service to our communities in the safest manner.

Please note there is a Zero Tolerance policy in all NHS settings including GP practices:
