The surgery is closed everyday for lunchtime between 12:30 and 13:30. The phone lines will be open for emergency calls only during this time with normal service resuming at 13:30.

baby_mumFAMILY PLANNING CLINICS:

We offer a family planning clinic on alternate Thursdays with our Practice Nurse Lindsay Anderson, providing family planning / contraceptive advice and provision.

TRAVEL IMMUNISATIONS:

Our Practice Nurses are all qualified to offer advice to patients travelling abroad and to administer appropriate travel vaccinations, including Yellow Fever. Some vaccinations may be charged for.

MINOR SURGERY:

Most of our doctors are qualified to perform minor operations in surgery.  Dr. Halem is our principal lead on these procedures. Our Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Pranav Mutty is also experienced in minor surgeries. 
Please make an appointment in the usual way for assessment by any doctor and you will be advised if you require a further appointment for minor surgery.

INFLUENZA VACCINATIONS:

Flu vaccinations are usually available between October and January by appointment. You may receive written details of an appointment, otherwise please ring to book your appointment from September onwards.

HEALTH CHECKS:

If you are a patient aged 16-74 who has not been seen for 3 years or more or you are 75 and over and have not been seen for 12 months or more, we can offer you a general health check.
Please make an appointment for this or request a home visit if you are unable to attend the surgery.

DIABETIC CLINICS:

We hold weekly/regular nurse-led diabetic clinics at Old Road West main surgery. We also offer the services of in-house podiatry (foot care) and retinopathy (eye care) screening for all diabetic patients, where appropriate.

CHILD HEALTH SURVEILLANCE:

We offer age-appropriate child health checks and immunisations, in partnership with our Health Visitors, to all patients under 5 years of age.

ASTHMA CLINICS:

Our Practice Nurse Mandy Mowat runs dedicated asthma/COPD clinics offering patients assessment, assistance, advice and support

PHYSIOTHERAPY:

We have a physiotherapist working from the surgery every day so please see your doctor for a referral
