We are pleased to announce we have recruited a Community Paramedic who started with us on 1st July-Mrs Pallavi Pai. We also have another new salaried GP joining us on 3rd August-Dr Avanus Hong. We also had a new Salaried GP joining us on 1st June, Dr Sangeeta Thangjam. Finally we have a second Paramedic Practitioner, Kumar Anand, joining us on 1st November. Please welcome them all.


PLEASE NOTE ALL APPOINTMENTS WOULD BE A TELEPHONE CALL/TRIAGE AND ONLY VISIT THE SURGERY WHEN THE CLINICIAN ADVISES YOU TO. PLEASE WEAR A FACE MASK/COVERING FOR ALL FACE-TO-FACE CONSULTATIONS.

The surgery is closed everyday for lunchtime between 12:30 and 13:30. The phone lines will be open for emergency calls only during this time with normal service resuming at 13:30.

Welcome to Old Road West Surgery 

THERE ARE STILL FLU VACCINATIONS IN THE SURGERY  FOR ALL THOSE IN THE ELIGIBLE GROUPS, PLEASE ENSURE YOU ATTEND. 

We are changing our appointments booking system to only at 08:30 for all day appointments.

We ask that all patients still wear a face mask when attending to see a clinician unless exempt and to be respectful to the staff who are working at the surgery. We have always been open throughout the pandemic and continue to provide the best service to our communities in the safest manner.

Booster vaccinations

The booster vaccination programme is opening up to all adults aged 18 and over. Eligibility will be opened up based on age. For the latest detail on who is eligible, please check https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ Please wait until you are contacted by the NHS or you see national publicity that your age range is now eligible. The time between your second dose and a booster must be at least three months.Please do not call the practice with general queries about Covid-19 vaccination.

Important Information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Apologies but due to the Coronavirus, the surgery is now placing a contingency plan to only allow telephone consultations unless necessary to come in. Reception staff or a clinician will ask you about your symptoms. This is for the safety for everyone as they can direct you to the right person. PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP AT THE SURGERY UNLESS INSTRUCTED.

If you’re new to the area, have a look at our opening times, download a registration form and come and see us. We are taking new registrations.

We have regular Doctors and Advanced Clinical Practitioners. We have pre-bookable clinics, online booking, telephone appointments, advanced bookings and on the day emergencies. PLEASE CALL AT 8:30 FOR AN APPOINTMENT.

We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as anti-coagulation, minor surgery,  joint injections, family planning clinics, vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
